Wales have continued their strong start to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with a 3-0 win over Liechtenstein.
Craig Bellamy’s side produced a dominant display, extending his unbeaten run as Welsh boss to nine matches.
The Dragons now sit top of Group J, after North Macedonia drew 1-1 with top seeds Belgium, who have only played one match so far in this campaign.
Brussels is Bellamy’s next destination, with the sides meeting on Monday in a crucial game for Wales in their quest for World Cup qualification.
Though Wales fans will be able to prepare for the game against Belgium knowing their team is in good form, as they brushed past the visitors 3-0 tonight at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The result was sealed with two quicker-fire goals from Harry Wilson and Kieffer Moore in the second half, after Joe Rodon opened the scoring not long before the halftime break.
The hosts did have to be patient, a characteristic their manager has been so focused on, especially against a lower ranking side.
Wales delivered on their manager’s wishes, after nearly 40 minutes of pressure on the Liechtenstein goal, the breakthrough came, with a bullet of a header from Joe Rodon which was supplied from a lovely corner by Sorba Thomas to find the centre-back and ultimately break the deadlock.
Once the second half began Wales looked composed, with a brilliant cross from substitute Jay Dasilva, finding Wilson in between the visitors defence, who headed the ball past the keeper.

Dasilva was impressive once he came on in minute 24, though Bellamy will be concerned about the removed player, Neco Williams, who came off on a stretcher.
Williams’s injury was really the only negative for the Welsh tonight, as Moore made it three as substitute David Brookes found himself with a shot at goal at the back post, which was saved straight into the path of the Sheffield United striker who could never miss.

The Welsh faithful continued to be entertained, with a number of close range misses from Brooks, though it wasn’t to matter as Wales maintained possession for the remainder of the game on the whole, with the visitors unable to create anything that would threaten Karl Darlow’s net.
Bellmay’s men now lead Group J by two points, with a clash with Belgium coming up on Monday, which will arguably be the Welshman’s hardest game so far as manager.
But for now, Wales fans can be happy, knowing the players did exactly what their manager told them to before the game, win.
